Perched on Giglio Island's southern tip at Punta Capel Rosso, within a UNESCO reserve, the scenic Capel Rosso Lighthouse offers breathtaking views. It's reachable from Giglio Porto by a 15 km drive to the end of Comunale del Corvo road, followed by an 800-meter footpath (trail 303). Alternatively, taxi boats from Giglio Porto dock at the old pier, with a staircase leading to the lighthouse.
Inside, four restored 45 sqm suites, former lighthouse keepers' homes, feature a sea-view king bedroom with a freestanding bathtub, a spacious bathroom with walk-in shower, and a cozy living area with single beds, Smart TV, minibar, and tea/coffee set. Amenities include air conditioning/heating, linens, bathrobes, slippers, toiletries, beach towels, and a beach bag.
Guests can rent snorkeling or fishing gear and purchase sunscreen and swimwear. The stay includes breakfast with local products and a set three-course dinner (drinks extra). Lunch (cold dishes/sandwiches) is available for a fee, with vegan and gluten-free options. Direct sea access is via the old Navy dock. Pets are welcome (fee applies) with provided amenities and a special menu; they must be leashed in common areas and not left alone in suites.
